Biochemistry and Hormonology Department

The Department of Biochemistry and Hormonology is responsible for the realization of the biological exams in biochemistry and hormonology for the patients taken in charge in the Tenon hospital. In addition, our department has expertise in the domain of metabolic, cardio-vascular and renal markers (Dr Jean-Philipe Bastard, Dr Guillaume Lefèvre), of catecholamine derivatives (Dr Françoise Millot) and of immunochemistry (Pr Pierre Aucouturier).

We have identified in the department a Unit on "Inflammatory and metabolic biomarkers" (JP Bastard) responsible for the routine care of the patients but also involved in translational research on these biomarkers and working in close collaboration with the departments of nephrology, internal medicine in Tenon and rheumatology in Saint-Antoine within the DHU.
