Mass Spectrometry Paltform (PM2)

Platform for Peptidomic, Metabolomic and drug Measurements


This platform is aimed at optimizing the interactions between several laboratories within the GH HUEP, their efficiency and process quality management of biological and pharmacological measurements performed by mass spectrometry. This platform also allows the pooling of resources (personnel, equipment, premises...) thereby optimizing maintenance contracts but also an increase in activity accompanied by a reduction of charges. This platform provides high-level services (sophisticated equipment, highly qualified staff, development and control of advanced techniques, discovery and development of new biomarkers). This structure is strongly connected to teaching and research, particularly through the RAM Network and The INSERM ERL 1057 (Director: Philippe Seksik) and its participation in DHU I2B (inflammation - immunopathology - Biotherapy: from uncommon to common diseases) (coordinators: Serge Amselem and David Klatzmann ). The PM2 platform meets the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical requirements (qualitative and quantitative) of clinical units and promotes the development of innovative activities (detection of new biomarkers). Thanks to new equipment (3 GC-MS, 6 LC-MS, 1 Synapt G2S), the department is able to provide analysis in several fields: lipidomics (cholesterol and derivatives, including bile acids; phospholipids, neutral lipids, glycolipids, steroids), peptidomics, proteomics and drug measurements.
